Preview Exhibition: 34th annual Art from the Heart - January 31, February 1, and February 2: Art from the Heart Preview Exhibition happens the three days prior to Art from the Heart. Here, art patrons have a chance to view artwork in advance of Saturday’s auction in a more relaxed and unhurried setting, unlike the atmosphere at the Saturday’s big event!

34th annual Art from the Heart benefit art auction - February 3, 2018: Art from the Heart is a silent art auction and party at the University Art Gallery, an exciting evening of art, food, wine, and music that has become one of the oldest continually-held fundraising events in the area and a “must” for novice and seasoned collectors alike. The auction features modestly priced works of art that are sold during a silent auction. It’s a wonderful way to have a good time, support the Gallery (and in turn, the careers of worthy artists), and go home with an original work of art. Proceeds from the auction directly benefit the programs of the Art Gallery’s exhibition, publication, and lecture programs.

Morrie Camhi Exhibition (working title) - February 15 – March 11, 2018: Morrie Camhi Exhibition of approximately 50 black and white vintage photographs by the late Petaluma photographer that have been donated to SSU by the artist's estate. Camhi described himself as a storyteller and a humanist and over the course of his career created a number of powerful series of photographs focusing on such diverse topics as the Jews of Greece, the California farm labor movement, and the California prison system. A number of his photographs include statements by the subjects themselves detailing the circumstances of their lives that were captured by Camhi's camera.

Juried Student Exhibition 2018 - March 29 – April 22, 2018: annual For art studio students and their professors, the Juried Student Exhibition serves as an opportunity to see works of art that have been selected by artists and museum professionals from the regional art community and presented a professional environment.

BFA Exhibition 2018 - April 26 – May 19, 2018: BFA Exhibition 2018 features the work of students in the Art Department who are graduating this Spring with their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), an advanced degree requiring an additional year of focused study in their chosen medium. For BFA students and their professors, the show serves as an opportunity to see a curated selection of their best work in context with their peers and within in a professional gallery environment.
