Nicole Myers

What do you teach?
Core Strengthening. A blend of pilates, yoga and physical therapy exercises that focuses on full body strength, flexibility, and working in safe but effective ranges of motion. This class includes a lot of focus on abdominal and back strengthening exercises.

Why do you teach?

I want to help others learn how to build strength and become flexible in a safe way. I am fascinated by human anatomy and have spent much of the last 10 years studying techniques for increasing strength and flexibility in a safe and effective way. My own practice has taught me a lot about safe ranges of motion, the effectiveness of small movements, and that fitness is a lifetime endeavor. I am always learning more about anatomy and new ways to make fitness classes interesting and challenging, because that is exactly what I look for in fitness class I take.

How long have you been instructing?
Forever…more precisely since Fall 2008, so 10 years. I also teach at 2 other studios.

Megan Backs

What do you teach?
I teach yoga to help my students connect with themselves as well as to help give them tools to have a peaceful state of mind

Where are you from?
Pacific Grove, CA

Why do you teach?
I love teaching yoga because it has been a passion for me since I was in elementary school. I love the meaning behind the practice as well as seeing my students grow.

How long have you been teaching?
I started my yoga training in 2016 and I started teaching in 2017. I became an instructor for InMotion in 2017 and it has been an amazing experience.

Natalie Hobson

I teach yoga!

Why do you teach?
I teach because I love working with students and striving to help other people become deeper engaged and aware of their world, thoughts and body.

How long have you been teaching?
I’ve taught mathematics for the past 9 years. I recently became interested in teaching yoga and have been doing so for the past several months

Kharissa Simms

What do you teach?

I teach R&B Flow Yoga which focuses on awakening the body through variations of sun and moon salutations. This is all while incorporating different pranayama techniques throughout practice and holding various asanas to enhance muscle endurance. I draw my influences for the class from vinyasa-yin-restorative yoga. Music can draw people closer to the breath, and what better way to do that than through some smooth R&B and hip hop? As a way to keep the energy flowing, R&B music plays a key role in doing that.

Why do you teach?

I like teaching because I like connecting and unifying. It is so rewarding when I have new yogis/yoginis come to my classes, I love seeing them progress and flourish.

How long have you been instructing?

I have been practicing yoga for almost 8 years, but I finally made the decision to get my 200-Hour a little under 5 months ago. Although I am a very “new” teacher, I have had a love for the practice for many years both on and off of the mat. In my classes I like to incorporate my own stile while also showing respect and honor to the ancient practice. My goal when entering any class to teach is to learn something new.

Doshia Dodd

What do you teach?

I teach Buti Yoga; it’s a high-intensity fusion of power yoga, cardio-intensive tribal dance, conditioning and deep abdominal through a signature spiral movement. Buti, in Indian Marathi, means “the cure to something hidden or kept secret”. This all in one workout tones and sculpts the entire body while listening to upbeat music. Buti creates a strong, empowered group that resembles a tribe who preaches self-love and self-care.

Why do you teach?

I love teaching because I get to share what I love doing, Buti Yoga and all its glory, with other people.

How long have you been instructing?

I am a new instructor of this practice, I have only been teaching it for one month now. But I have been a part of this practice for two years.

Charles Zabala

What do you teach?

I teach to share my knowledge with people and also learn from them. I see myself as a teacher who imparts knowledge rather than allowing my students to regurgitate

Why do you teach?

I like teaching because it helps me put theory to practice, and also challenges what I already know by creating conversation.

How long have you been instructing?

I have been teaching yoga for a year now, but I have been teaching since my Culinary days. When I was in the Philippines I found the philosophy of Yoga helpful when I was in the culinary industry especially when I would do cooking demonstrations in malls or at restaurants and even during long days when we would tape a tv show with my other colleagues.
