Application Process

Interested in applying to study abroad? The process is simple and it’s never too early to get started!

Step 1: Attend an Information Meeting

At these meetings we will discuss different program options, requirements, steps, and deadlines. We hold these various times each week and you can stop by the Center for International Education in International Hall 107 or call our front desk at (707) 664-2582 to sign-up. Advanced sign-up is required!

Step 2: One-on-one Appointment with Advisor

Once you have attended an Information Meeting and considered your options, you will meet with an advisor to identify the best program for you and your academic goals, discuss requirements, and create an application timeline.

Step 3: Attend an Application Workshop

This workshop is designed to help you submit the strongest application possible and help you increase your chances of being accepted! The application process in detail and tips are discussed.

Step 4: Application Approval Appointment

This is a one-on-one appointment where you application is looked over to make sure it is ready for submission, and an opportunity to double check important program information.

Step 5: Submit your application!

Along the way you will get assistance from the study away advisor, as well as the CIE Student Ambassadors. Most study away programs require faculty recommendations and an interview. All of these requirements and more are discussed at the meetings above.
