ISIC Card Example

The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is your passport to fantastic discounts and services around the world, as well as being a great insurance plan, for only $25!!

The ISIC card is the biggest internationally-recognized student ID. For over 50 years, ISIC card holders have been members of a truly global club. Every year, more than 4.5 million students from 125 countries use their student card to take advantage of offers on travel, accommodation, food, entertainment, transport, etc…

The ISIC Card also serves as a great insurance plan, which includes basic travel insurance that covers your international travels outside of the U.S. This insurance plan fulfills basic requirements for most study abroad organizations.

ISIC cards are valid for one calendar year from the date of issue, so we recommend all students studying abroad have their cards activated during the summer months, depending on when they think they’ll be returning from their year abroad. To do this, the process is EASY!

  1. Simply stop by the Center for International Education
  2. Fill out an ISIC application
  3. Pay $25 to Seawolf Services in Salazar Hall
  4. Bring the completed application, your receipt, and the date you’d like it to be activated (usually either June 1st, July 1st, or August 1st) to CIE

Once the date that you’d chosen has passed, you will receive an email with instructions to follow and soon after your new ISIC card will arrive in the mail!
