Nate Campbell

Nate Campbell is an instructor in the Communications department and academic advisor for KSUN, SSU’s on-line student run radio station. He received his B.A. in Communication Studies, and M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies at SSU. 


Campbell works professionally in radio at Wine Down Media in Napa, serving as Program Director for heritage radio stations KVYN 99.3FM "The Vine" and 1440AM KVON. His career also includes serving as News Director for Redwood Empire Stereocasters in Santa Rosa where he broadcasted the morning news on 100.1 KZST on the Brent Farris morning show for several years, as well  as a 5 year stint at Wine Country Radio in Santa Rosa as Program /Music Director  and on-air DJ for Sonoma County's heritage station KRSH "The Krush" 95.9 FM


Campbell guides students towards the right radio internships in Sonoma County and the Bay Area. He also enjoys overseeing the student-run staff at KSUN, modeled after a professional radio station structure.


Campbell  lives in Napa with his wife Molly Rattigan and daughter Tessa. His interests include music, sports, politics, living local, wine , and of course, radio! He has been teaching courses at SSU since 2000, some have included The History of Rock Music, Music MTV and the Media, and The Music of Bob Dylan.
