Emergency counseling is available Monday - Friday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, on days when the campus is open.
This is a brief visit -- it's like going to the emergency room. We meet with you as soon as we can on the day that you come in. Emergency counseling hours are reserved for students who are currently (or within the past 7 days) experiencing any of the following situations:
Current intent to harm yourself or persistent suicidal thoughts
Current intent to harm another or thoughts of harming another
Hallucinations (seeing/hearing things that don't exist or that others don't see/hear)
Recent death of a loved one that significantly impacts your functioning
Acts of discrimination, hate, or systemic oppression that impact your functioning
Recent physical assault/abuse, sexual assault/abuse, or domestic violence.
Crisis related to basic needs (homelessness, hunger, etc.)
If you are in Crisis, call CAPS at 707-664-2153 to be seen as soon as possible. If it is after business hours, please call the University Police at 707-664-4444 or the Sonoma County Crisis Line at 707-576-8181.
