For the past 18 years, I have been a faculty member at Sonoma State University with the Department of Educational Leadership and Special Education. Currently, I am Professor and Director of Assessment and Accreditation for the School of Education at SSU. Additional appointments included serving as Associate Dean for the College of Professional Studies at Humboldt State University and Principal Investigator and Project Evaluator for several federal grants in support of college students with disabilities and Hispanic students pursuing careers in teaching. Prior to my employment at SSU, I worked in Southern California as a Bilingual School Psychologist; worked for the CA State Department of Education; and served as a Social Work Counselor with the San Diego Regional Center. 28 years of service to our disability community and I still am honored to help support individuals with disabilities, their families, and the teachers who serve them both.
