Winter Intersession 2018

The Winter Intersession class schedule will be available October 11!


Registration 1 will be October 18 – December 1 via MySSU. Registration 2 will be December 7 - January 1 via MySSU. (Registration will be unavailable December 2-6.)

Late registration will be January 2-4 in person at the School of Extended and International Education (SEIE) located in Stevenson 1012, by telephone at 707 664-2394, or a Registration Form can be faxed to 707-664-2613. Permission of the instructor will also be necessary to register after the first class meeting.

Classes run Wednesday, January 3 - Wednesday, January 17. (No classes Monday, January 15.)

Students may enroll in a maximum of 5 units during the Winter Intersession.

Drop & Refund Information

100% refund will be granted if classes are dropped by January 2. Classes may be dropped online thru January 2.

65% refund will be granted January 3-4. To drop on January 3-4 you must call SEIE at 707-664-2394 or drop in person at the SEIE office.

No refund will be granted beginning January 5.

Payment Information

Registration 1: fees are due December 1. Registration 1 Disenrollment will take place on December 5.
Registration 2: fees are due January 1. Registration 2 Disenrollment will take place on January 2.
Late Registration: fees are due upon enrollment.

Financial Aid Information

If you would like to defer your Winter Intersession fees and use a portion of Spring 2018 financial aid you must fill out the Use of Financial Aid to Defer Fees Approval Form. You will receive an email via your Seawolf account letting you know if your Deferral has been approved or not. If your deferment is not approved you will be required to pay your fees by the stated deadlines

All deferment forms must be received by the School of Extended and International Education by November 30 in order for processing time before fees are due.

SEIE cannot guarantee that deferment forms received after the deadline will be able to be processed before fees are due. Students whose fees have not been paid and who do not have an approved deferral at the time fees are due may be disenrolled from their Intersession classes.

GPS Scholarships!


SEIE will be awarding a limited number of need-based, $500 scholarships for Winter Intersession!

In order to be considered for an SEIE Intersession Scholarship, you must:

  1. Be a matriculated, undergraduate SSU student in good academic standing
  2. Be enrolled in 3 or more units during Winter Intersession
  3. Have filed a FAFSA or Dream Act Application with SSU for the 17-18 academic year

The GPS Scholarship Application will be available online beginning October 18, 2017, and must be submitted online no later than 11:59 pm on November 15, 2017. Late applications will not be accepted. Award notifications will go out via email by November 20, 2017.

If you do not meet the criteria to be considered for a GPS Scholarship because you have not filed a FAFSA or completed a CA Dream Act application, and you believe you have an extenuating circumstance (such as international status or you qualify for a Veteran’s Fee Waiver), you may apply for an exception.

If you are applying for an exception, please complete the GPS Scholarship Exception Application. You will also need to provide a hard copy brief written statement explaining your circumstance, which must be received in the SEIE Office (Stevenson Hall 1012) by 5pm on Wednesday, November 15.

The GPS Scholarship is need-based. Scholarship exceptions may be provided only if sufficient funding is available.
