Drop/Refund Policy

Students must officially request refunds by completing and signing a Class Drop/Refund Form. To drop a course by phone, please call 707.664.2691.

Typically we are happy to refund registration fees the first two weeks of a course if you are dissatisfied with the course material, instructional method or instructor. After that we issue refunds for the following reasons:

  • An extended illness, accident, or personal problem that prohibits you from attending classes.
  • In the event of a death, you or a family member can request a refund.

Remember, you can audit the first class of a course, and then if you like it, register that day or the following week.

Discounts

SSU Alumni Association members receive a 10% discount on registration fees. Register by phone (707-664-2691) or by mail. Alumni discount not available through online registration.

$20 New Student discount available with coupon through May 2017.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available each session. A Scholarship Application Form must be filled out each session and must accompany your registration form. If you are registering online or by phone, mail the Scholarship Application Form to the address above. For questions about scholarships, contact Chris Alexander (Email: christine.alexander@sonoma.edu; Phone: 707-664-2691).

*NOTE:Effective July 1, 2017, students who pay their tuition and fees by credit or debit card online will be charged a 2.75% non-refundable credit card service fee paid to our third party provider, CASHNet® SmartPay.
