Living Options for Transfer Students

For our transfer students, Sonoma State offers three unique villages: Sauvignon Village East and the Hillside Villages of Beaujolais and Tuscany. All three villages offer a unique blend of independent living and a community atmosphere for students looking to live with other students their own age. Whether you chose Sauvignon, Beaujolais, or Tuscany, living on campus offers ways for students to excel academically, socially, and personally.

Gender Inclusive Housing

Gender Inclusive housing would be a great option for those students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, queer, asexual, transsexual, and/ or intersex, as well as committed allies. Gender Inclusive spaces will be located on campus within other theme areas, in age appropriate villages. Options for both single and double bedrooms are available for all students interested.
In order to be considered for gender inclusive housing you must fill out a supplemental questionnaire and receive approval from a designated Area Coordinator in addition to the housing application. Click here for more information about Gender Inclusive or contact Tramaine Austin-Dillon at (707) 664-3735.

Transfer House

Transfer students starting at Sonoma State are unique in that they arrive as upperclass students with the experience of previously taking college courses, while having not gained the experience of campus life at Sonoma State.  As such, it is important to offer transfer students with programs and activities that are both academically-stimulating and career-minded, while focusing upon their transition to campus life at Sonoma State through social networking and exploration of campus resources.  In this effort, our Transfer House holds 88 residents in the Classico building of the Beaujolais Village.

Beaujolais Village

Beaujolais Village offers 1100 square feet apartments with four single bedrooms; each bedroom has its own bath. The apartments are fully furnished and come equipped with Cable TV and wireless internet. Kitchens have Corian counter tops and laminate wood flooring. Residents also have access to Xfinity OnCampus for streaming capabilities.

The Village also has a swimming pool and spa, laundry rooms, outdoor amphitheatre, and community building for activities and events.

Tuscany Village

These spacious townhomes accommodate six students in 1500 square feet of living space. The townhomes are two levels with one double occupancy bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, and patio on the first floor. Two double and one single occupancy bedrooms are on the second floor. Each bedroom has its own bath. Kitchens have Corian counters, stainless steel appliances, and breakfast bar with stools. Cable TV and wireless internet are included. Residents also have access to Xfinity OnCampus for streaming capabilities.

Tuscany also has laundry rooms, and its own community building for activities and events. The Village shares the Beaujolais swimming pool and spa.

Sauvignon East

In addition to Beaujolais and Tuscany Villages, transfer students can live in Sauvignon East.

These Sauvignon apartments are over 1500 square feet and have a huge living room. They are fully furnished and have dining area with kitchen and a large pantry storage room. Cable TV and wireless internet are included. Residents also have access to Xfinity OnCampus for streaming capabilities. Each bedroom has its own bathroom.

Location. Location. Location. Sauvignon East is probably the most centrally located accommodations on campus...just steps away from the Rec Center, Library, and classrooms. Also, parking is available immediately adjacent to the buildings.
