Health Care Dependent Re-Verification (DRV)

Employees were notified in February 2018 of the new DRV process which is required by law to re-verify the eligibility of dependents that are enrolled in health and dental coverage.

New Payroll Calendars Available

Save the Date! Open Enrollment 2019

The annual Open Enrollment period this year will begin September 9th and will end October 4th. Changes made during this period will take effect January 1, 2020.

November CalPERS Webinar - Family Status Changes

Changes may occur in your personal life that can impact you and your family. The Family Status Changes webinar provides information on how certain events such as getting married, divorced; the birth of a child, becoming disabled or the death of a family member can impact your CalPERS benefits.

Welcome New Faculty - Fall 2019

We are excited for a new semester! Please review the 2019-2020 Academic Calendar and Academic Pay Scenarios to be aware of the various payroll schedules.

Benefits will first become effective on October 1, 2019, for new employees who submit their enrollment election by September 30th. For more information please visit the Benefit Services portion of our website.

Cal Employee Connect - Pilot Phase

The State Controller’s Office (SCO) has produced a tool that will allow employees to view their earnings statements and W-2’s, along with personal information. Learn more how you can be a part of the pilot program here.

Things to Know

  • Employee Assistance Program - The employee assistance program (EAP) is designed to provide professional assistance to state faculty, staff and their families (dependents and permanent household members) in assessing and resolving personal problems that may be affecting well-being or job performance.
  • Employee Wellness - Sonoma State promotes a culture of wellness amongst faculty and staff to encourage personal and professional productivity, physical and mental well-being, and promote a healthy lifestyle. 
  • Ergonomics -  The Ergonomics Program supports employees by providing training, ergonomic evaluations, recommendations and planning for the office and the trades.
  • Tuition Waiver -  Fee waiver (or tuition assistance) entitles eligible CSU employees (and in some cases their spouse, domestic partner or dependent child) to enroll in courses at any CSU campus and have fees waived or reduced.
  • Employee Discounts -  There are several discounts available to employees, including savings off the price of admission tickets to amusement parks, museums, and more.
