Here's a few of the things that The HUB can offer you. Even if it's not on this list, swing by and ask for what you need - even if we don't have the particular resource you need, we can connect you someone who does!

  • Programming
    Is there a program, event, or person that you would like to see on the campus? The HUB is here as a collaborator with fellow students to bring such resources to this campus for students. Come by and chat with a student assistant or professional staff to see the possibility of creating and bringing more substance to SSU.
  • Presentations
    The HUB offers presentations on various topics that deals with the intersectional identity and how to build and foster community. We provide brief training and instruction on the presentations, if there is a need or inclination to not have a HUB person present.Stop by the office to see what presentations you are interested in having us do and there is plenty of flexibility to modify for a perfect fit.
  • Advertising
    The HUB has two posting boards as well as a large calender in our Living Room space. The posting board on the right is there for Clubs and Organizations who would like to advertise for their events in the HUB. In order to post all you need to do is brign a copy of the poster or flyer and speak with a student assitant or professionla staff member.
  • Library
    The HUB has an expansive library that ranges from feminist theory to zen methods and it is open to any persons belonging to this university.The HUB is the epitome of sharing knowledge and narratives. Books are just one mode, a powerful one, that has the power to broaden minds, perspectives, and community. Check out a book with the student assistants and/or the professional staff.
  • Mini Kitchen & Food Storage
    The HUB has a microwave, toaster oven, and a beautiful new refrigerator. These all can be found behind the the living room, parallel to the offices. USE THEM!! We encourage student to use these amenities because campus is a home away from home for most of us.
  • Ears to Listen & Hands to Support
    We may not be trained as counselors, but we are people who do care about your experience and honors that to the best of our ability. We offer a safe space to tell your story and been seen as an individual of this world. Our doors are always open for anyone who needs a chat, and we will provide and point to resources that we believe would be helpful for your journey.
