Voicemail Instructions

How to Access Your AVST CS Voicemail Account

  1. Dial 42020, or get dialtone and press message, or from an outside line dial 707-664-2020 and press # after the initial tone ends and the greeting begins.
  2. Dial your mailbox number.
  3. Dial your password.
  4. The first time you access your mailbox you must change your password. You will be automatically given instructions. Your mailbox number is your 5 digit extension.
  5. NOTE: If you are calling from another phone on campus, dial 42020, then press * then #, then input the mailbox you would like to check.

Set or Change a Password

  1. Once you have accessed your mailbox, press 8014.
  2. Follow the automatic instructions.
  3. Passwords must be 4 digits minimum and must not be repetitive, IE 1234.
  4. Once you have changed your password, you must use this new password to access your mailbox until you change your password again.
  5. You will be required to change your password every 365 days.

Personal Verification

  1. Once you have accessed your mailbox, press 8015.
  2. Follow the automatic instructions.
  3. This recording is typically your spoken name and extension number. This recording most commonly identifies you to callers who wish to locate you by name.

External Greeting

  1. Once you have accessed your mailbox, press 803 for your external greeting
  2. Follow the automatic instructions.
    • 5 records,
    • # stops recording
    • 2 plays the current greeting
    • 4 returns you to the main menu.
  3. If you desire to re-record your greeting, delete (76) it first.

Temporary Absense Greeting

  1. Once you have accessed your mailbox, press 806.
  2. Follow the automatic instructions, they are the same as your external greeting
  3. This greeting reminds callers that it's special if they try to bypass your greeting and go directly to the beep.

How to Access Your Call Pilot Voicemail Account

  1. Dial 42999 or get dialtone and press message or dial 707-664-2999.
  2. Dial your mailbox number and #.
  3. Dial your password and #.
  4. The first time you access your mailbox you must change your password. You will be automatically given instructions. Your mailbox number is your 5 digit extension and your initial password is 778 + your mailbox number.

Set or Change a Password

  1. Once you have accessed your mailbox, press 84.
  2. Follow the automatic instructions.

  3. Once you have changed your password, you must use this new password to access your mailbox until you change your password again.

Express Messaging

Allows you to leave a message for someone without ringing their phone.

  1. Dial 65999, then:
  2. Dial the 5 digit extension and # of the person you wish to leave a message for.

Or

  1. Dial 11 and begin spelling the person's first name or as much as you know.
  2. Follow the prompts.

Or, you may transfer someone you are speaking with directly to their desired mailbox:

  1. While talking with the party, press transfer,
  2. Dial 42999
  3. Dial the 5 digit extension and # of the person they wish to leave a message for.
  4. Press transfer. (Pressing transfer immediately upon entering the # ensures the caller hears that individuals greeting.)
