Parissa T. Tadrissi, Ph

Parissa Tadrissi is an Associate Professor of Spanish with a PhD in Hispanic Languages and Literatures from UC Santa Barbara. Her main areas of research include contemporary Spanish literature and culture, gender studies and the use of technologies of information and communication in Spanish cultural studies. She has authored and co-authored a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals and anthologies, the most recent of which appears in Women and Science in Spanish Literature.

Professor Tadrissi teaches a wide variety of courses for the major and minor in Spanish and also contributes to the SYRCE (Second Year Creative and Research Experience) program. You’ll often find her teaching: Spanish Composition and Conversation, Introduction to Hispanic Literature, Cultures of Spain, Surveys in Spanish Literature and the Senior Seminar in Literature. Professor Tadrissi also teaches courses in the M.A. Program in Spanish and functions as the M.A. Program Director as of Spring 2019.
