SSU Orchestra Holds First Annual Concerto Competition

 

 

Alexander Kahn, director of the SSU Symphony Orchestra, has announced the first annual concerto competition at 7:30 pm on March 22 in Schroeder Hall. Eight students will be performing for a panel of guest judges that includes Richard Loheyde, music director of the Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Orchestra, and Corrick Brown, music director emeritus of the Santa Rosa Symphony Orchestra.

The winner(s) will perform next year in concert with the university’s orchestra or symphonic wind ensemble. The competition is free and open to the public. For information call (707) 664-2324.
