Winners of First Annual Concerto Competition Announced

Two Sonoma State University wind players have taken top prizes in the first annual SSU Concerto Competition, according to Director of Orchestral Activities Alexander Kahn. They are:

Zachary Hall, trumpet (Arutiunian, Trumpet Concerto)

Megan Rice, saxophone (Glazunov, Saxophone Concerto)

 

Eight performers played for three judges on March 22 for the chance to perform in concert next year with the SSU Symphony Orchestra.The date of the Concerto Concert and information about the second annual Concerto Competition will be posted here.
