Forget the Weeding, Check Out this Concert Roundup!


The Sonoma State University music department will produce 17 student ensemble concerts in four weeks starting on Sunday, April 19 with the Brass Ensemble presenting “Heaven and Earth” at 2 pm in Schroeder Hall. The rest of the week includes the Horace Silver Ensemble & Jazz Orchestra; Percussion and Improvisation Ensemble; Latin Band, Concert Jazz and Contemporary Ensembles; Symphonic Chorus; Guitar Ensemble and Chamber Singers.

The week of April 27 begins with String Orchestra followed by Chamber Wind Ensemble and Student Composers. The following week has two Instrumental Repertory Recitals (May 5-6) and two Musical Theatre Scenes Workshop performances (May 7 & 9); and finally two Vocal Repertory Recitals (May 12-13), concluding with the Symphonic Wind Ensemble in a joint performance with Santa Rosa Junior College Wind Ensemble on May 14.
