Who can assist me with my award?

The Office of Faculty Research and Sponsored Pograms (OFRSP) is available to assist you with the fiscal and administrative management of your award. OFRSP may also be able to point you in the right direction with other questions you may have. Contact your Project Administrator or email OFRSP at osfrp@sonoma.edu.

What Post award services can OFRSP provide to Principal Investigators/Project Directors?

OFRSP provides the following services to all Principal Investigators and Project Directors:

  • Principal Investigator/Project Director training (in collaboration with the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs)
  • Award start up meeting and checklist
  • Establish award in financial system to allow spending
  • Recording your award budget
  • Providing monthly financial reports
  • Post award modifications

OFRSP provides access to the following SSU financial and administrative policies, processes, and procedures enabling you to focus on your programmatic work:

  • Procurement Office - for contracts, purchase orders, and subcontracts
  • Expenditure Processing
  • Paying a supplier of a product or service
  • Travel planning and reimbursements
  • Recruiting and hiring staff
  • Cost Sharing (Match) accounting
  • Student and participant payments

While available to all, OFRSP provides the following services which typically apply to more complex awards and awards with specific compliance requirements:

  • Award financial projections
  • Sponsor communication
  • Award schedule and milestones
  • Compliance with SSU policies
  • Major expenditure planning
  • Time and Effort reporting
  • Post award conflict of interest reporting
  • Subrecipient risk assessment and monitoring
