Faculty Writing Program

The Faculty Writing Program is a great opportunity to receive help with ongoing writing projects. The program consists of three separate, ongoing seminars that meet every other week to discuss members' scholarly writings in progress.  The seminars are on different days to accommodate diverse faculty schedules.  The seminar experience is collegial and non-competitive and provides a safe environment to explore ideas and to receive thoughtful feedback on early work.  There are occasional sessions open to all writing program members on topics such as writing book proposals, managing time, and overcoming writing blocks.

New tenure-track faculty members receive first priority, but all faculty members are welcome to participate.  Participants may also join a seminar group that has already begun.

The Wednesday group meets from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Thursday group meets from 10 a.m. to noon. The Friday group meets from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, contact Kathy Charmaz at 4-3955.
