Welcome Claudia Luke!

Claudia LukeClaudia Luke arrived this week on campus as the new Director of the Fairfield Osborn and Galbreath Wildlands Preserves. From her position with the School of Science and Technology, she will be developing the Preserves as a campus-wide resource, and encourages interested faculty, staff and students to contact her with ideas for collaboration. Claudia received her Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of California Berkeley in 1989. She most recently served as the Reserve Manager at UC Davis Bodega Marine Reserve, and has managed served as Reserve Director for San Diego State University and UC Riverside Granite Mountains Desert Research Center. Her career accomplishments include the development of multi-organizational research-management collaborations in the areas of environmental sensor networks, prairie conservation, fire and watershed management, habitat connectivity, and wildlife monitoring.

Welcome Julia Arno

Julia Arno joins Sonoma State University as the Sr. Director of Research and Sponsored Programs. She has most recently been the Director of Research, Sponsored Programs and Legal Compliance at Dominican University. She also served as the Executive Director of the Family Violence Law Center in Oakland, Ca. Julia graduated from UC Davis with a degree in International Relations-Economics. She went on to complete a Masters of Nonprofit Administration at University of San Francisco and a Juris Doctorate at Golden Gate School of Law. She brings a breadth of knowledge and creativity to the position here at SSU.
