Wine Industry Compliance & Regulatory Issues (NEW Workshop)

This workshop will help demystify the complex and daunting compliance and regulatory issues affecting wine businesses today.  Instructor, David Sandri, will deliver a focused review of licensing issues and variations including licensing updates for both personnel and physical location changes, best practices in record keeping and operational and tax reporting procedures as they relate to regulatory and compliance standards. Students will also explore recent developments in out-of-state licensing for wholesale distributors and direct-to-consumer channels, as well as copyright and trademark issues and how to properly protect your winery name and image.

Instructor Profile:

David Sandri, CSW, WLS, WSET® Certified - Advanced, has been in various parts of the alcohol beverage industry for over 28 years. His experience ranges from retail wine buyer, broker, wholesaler, tasting room management, vineyard operations, winery operation, logistics, and regulatory issues. Over the past 15 years, he has focused on alcohol compliance and regulatory issues, as well as being an active wine judge throughout California, the United States, and Internationally. David has also been published internationally and given presentations around the U.S. on compliance issues.
