Wine Industry Compliance & Regulatory Issues (NEW Workshop)
December 8th, 8:30am - 5:30pm
This workshop will help demystify the complex and daunting compliance and regulatory issues affecting wine businesses today.  Instructor, David Sandri, will deliver a focused review of licensing issues and variations including licensing updates for both personnel and physical location changes, best practices in record keeping and operational and tax reporting procedures as they relate to regulatory and compliance standards. Students will also explore recent developments in out-of-state licensing for wholesale distributors and direct-to-consumer channels, as well as copyright and trademark issues and how to properly protect your winery name and image. 

March 26 - May 21, 2019
This 8-week online course provides sales and management training for suppliers and distributors in the wine and alcohol beverage industry.  Through exploration of route-to-market strategies for alcoholic beverages, students gain client-facing sales and territory management skills.  Building on this knowledge, students complete weekly series of pre-recorded micro-lectures and submit activities or quizzes with video coaching and feedback from the instructor.

Certificate in Wine Industry Finance & Accounting

This program gives an overview of the financial and accounting concepts that enable students to make better business decisions and advance their career in the wine industry.  Taught by finance and accounting professionals working in and servicing the wine industry, each workshop is tailored to explore core finance and accounting concepts presented from a wine industry perspective.  Curriculum and workshop activities are designed to provide knowledge that can be immediately applied to a wine business or organization.

This 8 week certificate course take a systematic look at the different components of a successful wine brand and assists you in creating a strategy for sustainable profitability and cash flow.  Instructor Anisya Thomas Fritz, Ph.D., brings her first-hand experience as proprietor of Lynmar Estate and other industry leaders and veterans contribute to help you begin a business plan that lays a sold foundation for your wine business.

Learn how to use Quickbooks® efficiently and effectively to produce meaningful and accurate reports for your wine business. Through this 8-week program you will learn the many features available in order to put a system of procedures in place, and create a customized Quickbooks® program tailored to your specific wine business needs. 

French Language Certificate for Wine Business

The French Language Certificate enhances the international and global perspective of students in the undergraduate Wine Business Strategies program by combining their studies in wine business with earned proficiency in French language and culture at the beginning, intermediate, or advanced level. This unique and innovative Certificate enables wine business students to function at their chosen level of proficiency within the context of the French wine industry.
