Mondays, 11:30am-12:30pm.  THE FRENCH CLASS BOOK CLUB.  Books are chosen by the members of the book club, and it takes one or two months to read and discuss a book, depending on the length. Mondays: FRENCH CLUB OF MARIN. The French Club of Marin has been meeting every Monday since the mid-1980s for conversation and fellowship, followed by wine, cheese and other goodies. New members are welcome, at any level of language ability. Our venues are at the homes of our members, mostly in northern San Rafael but also at other Marin locations. Come and share your experiences – trips just back from or planned, restaurant finds, movies or plays enjoyed. We also discuss literature and listen to French songs. FRIDAY MORNING COFFEE GROUP AT CAFFE STRADA in Berkeley every week from 11am-1pm. This group is for international newcomers to Berkeley and the Bay Area. The group helps people make friends and learn about local resources, and we discuss many intercultural topics. Most of people who come are the spouses / partners of postdocs, visiting scholars and grad students at UC Berkeley, but other non-UC Berkeley people come too. Saturday mornings, every two weeks.  LE SAC A HISTOIRES.  La bibliothèque de l’Alliance Française de San Francisco propose un atelier lecture pour enfants.  Le samedi matin tous les quinze jours, de 10h à 11h, Emmanuelle lira et racontera des histoires pour les enfants de langue française, francophones et francophiles, à partir de 5 ans. La lecture se fera en français pour faire découvrir des aventures et des contes de langue française.
