Digital Image Primer Workshop

Karen Kessel, Visual Resources Specialist for the Art Department, will offer a noon workshop for any interested faculty, staff or their students who need to use digital images in e-portfolios, student papers, presentations, or online publications, but are not very familiar with digital technology.

Topics covered include:

  • Differences between the most common file formats and when to use which
  • Tools for organizing and finding images
  • Naming image files, maintaining color fidelity, and appropriate file sizes
  • Hands-on demonstration of how to quickly resize batches of images

This fast-paced session is held in Art 107, around the corner from the Art Gallery, on Thursday, Feb. 13 and Friday, March 28 (after Spring Break) from 12:00 to 12:50 p.m. Space is limited. For those planning to attend, RSVP to
