inMotion is a Campus Recreation program that strives to provide healthy and effective alternatives to standard workouts.

inMotion classes are only offered during the fall and spring semesters of the academic school year and are FREE for students and members.

inMotion group fitness instructors on staff are typically SSU students, although the position is open to all. We encourage our instructors to be certified group fitness instructors, yet it is not currently a requirement for employment.

Classes offered through inMotion vary upon semester, however the following are some examples of classes we’ve offered during past semesters: yoga (several disciplines), pilates, dance (several styles/techniques), cardio kickboxing, spin, abs/buns/thighs, body sculpting/toning, step aerobics, boot camp, and self-defense.

Participation in the inMotion program is open to all fitness levels, shapes and sizes! Due to the concern for our participants’ safety, those who are not properly dressed for exercise may not participate in the class.
