Application Process

  • As of the Fall 2018 admission cycle, the application process is moving online to Cal State Apply.
  • Please visit our SEIE Admissions page before applying. This page includes:
    • Pointers on how to use the Cal State Apply site
    • Important dates and deadlines
    • Information about Financial Aid
    • Information for international applicants

As this is a new process, please work closely with Dr. Farid Farahmand, Faculty Coordinator, farid.farahmand@sonoma.edu, and with our Admissions Specialist, James Peavler, 707-664-2682, james.peavler@sonoma.edu.

Application Materials

Your application materials will be assessed by both Sonoma State Admissions and by the department to determine your eligibility. Early application is encouraged in order to take advantage of financial aid opportunities and to allow time for assessment of your application, and for international students, to follow visa processing guidelines.

Registration for Spring 2018 will begin on November 13 by appointment. Please see your program advisor to select appropriate classes, then visit the SEIE Registration Basics page for instructions.

Please note that you cannot register online for Special Studies classes. A separate form, available from your advisor, is required.
