Once you have applied to the university you can schedule an Audition to become a Music Major on one of the Department of Music Audition Days.

Wind Band and Orchestra Festival Accepting Applications

Now in its sixth year, the Sonoma Invitational Wind Band & Orchestra Festival, March 7-9, 2018, is one of the Music Department’s signature educational outreach events that will feature over 40 high school ensembles from throughout California. Bruce Burger and RebbeSoul appear on the Jewish Music Series September 28

Jewish Music Series

The third annual Jewish Music Series runs from August 31–November 30 in Schroeder Hall. This year's lineup includes three bands (Kugelplex, RebbeSoul, Veretski Pass); two singer/cantors (Roslyn Barak, Richard Kaplan) and one evening of chamber music featuring guitarist and cantor Jeremiah Lockwood in a program of works by Brian S. Wilson. The 6:30 pm concerts are included as part of MUS 343 Survey of Jewish Musics and are free. Seating is available on a first-come basis. While doors open at 6:15, early arrival is encouraged. Symphony Orchestra Releases Dates for 2017-18

Alexander Kahn, conductor of the Sonoma State University Symphony Orchestra, announces the orchestra’s 2017-18 concert season. The orchestra, now in its third year under Dr. Kahn's leadership, will play four concerts in Weill Hall, October 1; November 17; March 4; April 29. Details.
