Bio:

Dr. Ray joined the faculty at Sonoma State in Fall 2015. She received her doctorate from Virginia Tech in 2013 and has previously taught at Northern Arizona University. Her expertise is in environmental politics and environmental political theory with a particular interest in land-use conflicts, social movements, and public policy. Her research centers on natural resource disputes, the political economy of resource use, and how to build a theory of collective environmental responsibility.
