Stacey Murray, Associate Director

Hello Seawolves! I have been working here at Sonoma State University in the Office of Residential Life since 2007. I am originally from the East Coast but love living in Northern California. My love and passion for working in Residential Life started when I became a Resident Advisor in college. Since then I have had the opportunity to work with some really amazing students. I received my BA in Secondary Education from New England College and received my MS in Higher Education Administration and Policy Study from the University at Albany. When I came to Sonoma State, I started off as a Residential Life Coordinator for Cabernet Village. I am currently the Associate Director and work out of our main office. Some of my many job responsibilities are that I oversee the student staff that work in our department as well as I oversee the residential community Service Desks, located in Zinfandel and Tuscany Villages.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I am also a big sports fan and love watching hockey and soccer.  I have really enjoyed my time working at Sonoma State and I am happy that I have made this place my home.

Calee Spinney | Cabernet Village

Hello everyone!  My name is Calee Spinney and I am the Area Coordinator for Cabernet Village.  I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and moved to New Hampshire when I was 8; I generally claim NH as my home since I spent the most time there.  I moved to California in 2008 and haven't looked back!  I am very excited to be back in Sonoma County and to be here with you at Sonoma State.

I have a BA in Psychology (minor in Justice Studies) from the University of New Hampshire and an MA in Educational Administration and Leadership from the University of the Pacific.  Most recently I worked CSU Maritime Academy.  I have always worked with first year students and am thrilled to be continuing this work and focusing on Wellness in the theme community.  I'm happy to chat with students about anything and everything -- especially those "awkward" conversations that are necessary when you're adjusting to new people and places.  I'm also good at organization and time management so please let me know if you want some tips!
In my free time I enjoy running, reading, enjoying a good soy vanilla latte, trying new brunch places, listening to podcasts, and exploring new places.  Santa Cruz and Paris are two of my favorite places in the world.  I identify with the minimalist and tiny house movements, and hope to live in a tiny home in the south of France someday.
