Working with the Media

Have an interesting and newsworthy program, project or person?

The University Affairs news and information team would like to facilitate coverage by a newspaper, magazine, online outlet, radio or television station. Not all story ideas stimulate media interest, but at the very least, most are valued for SSU's NewCenter, WorkPlace, Seawolf Calendar or social media.

Framing a Story

Raw story ideas often require modification to garner media interest. Simple adjustments to a story angle can significantly impact the perception of a reporter or editor in determining whether your story is newsworthy versus it not being of interest to their readers.

Go to submit a news Idea to be contacted to discuss your story idea.
