Angeles Arrien Returns to Explore
" The Way of the Teacher"

For more than 40 years, Dr. Angeles Arrien, a world renowned cultural anthropologist, has been teaching how to apply the traditions of land-based native cultures to living a healthy, balanced life in today's fast-paced world.

She has come to the campus to over the past six months to present workshops on three of the four archetypes in the Four Fold Way. In the final workshop on April 10 from 4-6 p.m. in the HUB, she’ll explore The Way of the Teacher, which represents the human capacity of Wisdom and addresses the challenge of facing the unknown, the developing trust, and the utilizing the human resource of silence to tap into our inner wisdom.

Faculty and staff are welcome to the workshop which will be limited to 40 participants. Priority is given to first generation students.

As she states in her book about the Four-Fold Way, “when we listen to land-based peoples, we are listening to our oldest selves.” These cultures support change, healing, and transitions by tapping into four key human archetypes that have sustained people as they deal with life and the constant of change.
