Alix P.

My name is Alix, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am the 2017-2018 Assistant Director of SSU’s Writing Center. I just completed my BA in English with a concentration in single subject education, and I am now working toward earning my MA in English with a concentration in composition and education. Aside from the resources the Writing Center offers as a student service on campus, I love the Writing Center because of the people that consider it their home; I hope that, like I found, you feel welcome, safe, and brave in our space. I have seen the complete series of The Office roughly 87 times and have perfected the art of bringing quotes from the show into my daily life. I consider myself a social justice advocate and activist, and I am passionate about intersectional feminism (particularly the intersections between queerness, gender, race, and socio-economic status). I am an avid burrito eater, I want Beyoncé to adopt me, and I am an INFJ. I enjoy reading YA literature, 20th century American novels, and 19th century American and British poetry.
