Mary M.

Mary McCammon is in her second year as a graduate student in the counseling department. She spent the last 15 years teaching both sixth and second grades at St. Eugene’s School in Santa Rosa. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching, a B.S. in Health Science, and a California Teaching Credential. In 2007, she accepted a fellowship at UC Berkeley and trained as a Teacher Consultant for the Bay Area Writing Project (BAWP) during their Summer Institute. She has experience playing the “college game” as a first generation college student and as a returnee during various stages of her life. She is most proud of her four adult children and loves spending time with family. Although she is known for loving cats and chocolate, her true passion is helping others to build on their strengths, persevere and succeed.
